Good Ol' Fashion Nightmare

Emily loves creepy things.  Scary things.  Weird things.  We decided to embrace this awesomeness through makeup.  She told me what colors she wanted on her face and I just drew and blended whatever popped into my head.  What I love most about Emily is that she's not afraid to be herself.  She takes whatever she sees in her mind (or in this case the mirror) and completely makes it come to life.  So, take a look at these creepy creatures and have a happy belated Halloween!

Om Nashi Me

I'd like you all the meet my little cousin Emily.  I've been living with her since I moved Florida and she has become more like a little sister to me than a cousin.  Emily is seven and is easily one of the most creative people I know.  She likes swimming, drawing, playing with bugs, and dinosaurs.  Her favorite color is pink and she will devour anything that has sugar in it.

When I came home from work yesterday, she was running around in her underwear and had  pieces of paper taped all over her body.  She was pretending that she was a grasshopper.  How could I possibly not pull out my camera?  For the rest of the afternoon I decided to follow her around and document everything she got into.  There's never a dull moment with her, that's for sure.  So take a look into Emily's world and stay posted for more exciting adventures.

Where'd All The Time Go?

Graduation is just around the corner and that means that my final portfolio is also!  I can't believe these years have flown by!  I still have a lot of work to do on my portfolio and am currently stuck on some ideas.  What always helps me get those creative juices flowing is to look for inspiration.  I’ll spend hours just looking at pictures and coming up with ideas.  So, for this blog post I’ve clumped some of my favorite photographs together for three big inspirational pieces.  Oh, I’m starting to feel the creativity kicking in already.  Hopefully you’ll be able to find some photographs in here that inspire you.  So, take a gander and let me know what you think.

Everything Has Turned Around

I've been away from the whole blogging scene for a while due to some recent changes in my life.  So I guess i'll start by bringing everyone up to speed with what's been happening with me...

Well, i've been living in Florida for the past month and have been interning with the amazing, Josh Letchworth.  Things have been going great!  I'm learning a lot and so far I don't have any complaints.  Everything here is so laid back and it's a good change from my fast paced lifestyle.  It really puts the world in a different perspective when you can actually slow your life down and see what's really going on around you.  As Ferris Bueller once said, "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Today, I added some new additions to my family....camera family that is.  While I was at Josh's today, I decided to shoot what catches my eye every time I go to his office.  I even noticed some new things today.  Since i've been in Florida I have become a more relaxed person,  I see the beauty in things I never used to think were beautiful, and i'm just taking life as it comes to me.
